LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman will miss the remainder of the season because of a torn right triceps. The Bears had left open the possibility of a comeback in the playoffs after he was injured against Detroit on Nov. 10 by placing him on the injured reserve/designated to return list. Coach Marc Trestman said Monday that wont happen. He also said a decision on whether star linebacker Lance Briggs will return from a fractured shoulder this weekend at Philadelphia will be made on Friday. "Its going to be day to day," Trestman said. "Im reasonably optimistic, but its going to be through the three days of practice before a decision is made." Its possible Tillman has played his final game with the Bears given his expiring contract. He was eligible to start practicing this week, but Trestman said the two-time Pro Bowl pick is not far enough along in his recovery.
